Christie is so spot on with everything she brings up that I had to hold back from highlighting the whole book! From everything to "the 3 types of ex-wives" to "pros and cons of being a step mom. Helped me to realize what my role will be as a step mom and the boundaries I will assume for myself. And also, boundaries I should expect from my boyfriend and his kids.

Now I just need to get my boyfriend to read this book. And at the very least, I will be discussing the points Christie makes to be sure we are on the same page before we get more serious. After reading this book I can now see why second marriages end in a higher divorce rate.

I'm really glad I found this book. It gives you advice depending on what stage of his divorce he's in. You'll know if you should stay or if you should run. One of the most serious boyfriends of my adult life was divorced, or divorcing he'd been separated a year.
